The challenge in this historical Webster Groves, MO kitchen was transforming a dark and dismal cave with reddish stained cabinets and green laminate counters into a bright and highly functioning family- friendly kitchen. Placing the range as the focal point between two existing windows, offered a better working triangle for clients who love to entertain. By elongating the refrigerator wall and shortening the opening into the adjoining family room allowed placement of a dishwasher and China cabinet, improving the workflow tenfold. By eliminating a coat closet in the hallway entering the kitchen, we were able to offer a floor-to ceiling pantry storage with counter space in between that is ideal for baking. The hand-crafted brass hardware and hanging pendants are a timeless addition to the century home. The spacious island offers additional counter space, cabinetry storage and seating for five. My clients are so joyful and wanted an emboldened colorful space and Sherwin Williams, "Dill" fir the bill.
